Sometimes sad and revealing, includes case notes and back stories as well as clinical outcomes.
Social manners and mores were very different back then and behaviours identified as symptoms of illness might seem quaint or odd to modern minds.
One lady aroused suspicion as she left home repeatedly without wearing her hat and then spoke to men playing cricket nearby. And she was married.
She was kind enough to invite them home to a piano recital, but her husband claims there was no piano and that she couldn't even play, calling the Doctor.
Cold baths, isolation, straps and somehow even humour. Thank goodness we left this age behind!
